📌 Let me ask you a question. Do small businesses really believe that people shouldn’t ask for discounts or coupons?
Because let’s be honest, every big brand we shop with BJ’s, Costco, Fashion Nova you already know the first thing we’re doing is hunting for a promo code. No shame.
📌 So why does that conversation suddenly feel uncomfortable when it comes to small businesses?
Now granted, we do understand there's a difference. Smaller budgets. More sweat equity. A lot more risk. A lot more personal investment.
But here’s the real tension:
📌 Why shouldn’t consumers be looking for incentives when deciding where to spend their money?
📌 Is it wrong to ask?
📌 Is it disrespectful?
📌 Or is it just part of how modern consumers shop?
And while we’re at it…
📌 How long is a refill actually good for at a restaurant?
📌 Is there an unspoken rule?
📌 A moral line?
📌 Or are we just making things up as we go?
